A qualified computer engineer, Payal Rohatgi entered the glamorous world of films and modeling with her participation in the Femina Miss India contest 2000 of which she was a finalist. Her career received a fillip when she won the coveted title of Super Model Miss Tourism World 2001, competing with 65 contestants from across the globe.
The win gave her the pedestal to embark on a career in the glamorous world of modeling and fashion, which had enamored her since childhood. In her brief but illustrious career Payal has been associated with top of the line brands like Bajaj, LG, Britannia, Nescafe, Jaguar, Dabur etc. However, the advertisement that shot her to fame was the one for Cadbury Temptations, which to date remains her favorite modeling assignment,
Then followed her stint in music videos Payal set small screen on fire, with established names like Silk Route (Sapnay), Mahesh Manjrekar's Humko Hai poora yakeen and various artistes by T Series. It was with these videos her on screen charisma got noticed.
The next moved had to be Bollywood and Payal was keen to show off her acting prowess. Payal's quest to try her hands in anything creative is evident since her modeling days, her proficiency has got her great quality Projects, whether it was winning more established brands to model or signing films like Harry Baweja's 'Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai', 'Plan' a multi starrer with Sanjay Dutt and Dino Morea, 'Rakth' starring Bipasha Basu, Sanjay Dutt and now with Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Corporate' and Subhash Ghai's '36 Chaina Town'.
