Preeti Jhangiani (born 18 August 1980) is an Indian actress and model.

She first did films down south but made her Bollywood debut in 2000 with Mohabbatein. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan as well as five other debutantes (Shamita Shetty, Uday Chopra, Jugal Hansraj, Kim Sharma and Jimmy Shergill). The film was a huge hit and started her film career. Her next hit was the comedy Awara Paagal Deewana, but she did not really have much of a role. Succeeding films -- of which she made many -- did less well at the box office.
Preeti Jhangiani was first seen in Rajshri music videos, Chui mui si opposite South superstar Abbas. Her elfin face and innocent looks won hearts of millions. Her on screen chemistry with Abbas made them both look extremely desirable to such an extent that the duo became love icons and the koala bear became a symbol of love all around.

After that, the Chui Mui girl was seen in umpteen TV commercials most famous being Nirma Sandal soap in which, she replaced Sonali Bendre. She even did a Malayalam film, Mazhivillu, directed by Dinesh Babu, which was critically acclaimed, but didn't do too well.

Preeti debuted in Bollywood with Aditya Chopra’s Mohabbatein. Though her launch was rather unconventional, she played the role of a young widow of 17, her performance was appreciated. She shared the frame with Bollywood idols like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, which was a dream come true for a newcomer. For this model turned actress who loves romantic films, Mohabbatein was the ultimate love story.

Post Mohabbatein, Preeti was seen in movies like Awara Pagal Deewana, Waah! Tera Kya Kehna, Annarth and Baaz. All of these haven’t done quite well at the box office. But you can't blame Preeti for being thrilled. Still she is working with directors like Feroz Nadiawala, Mahesh Manjrekar, Vikram Bhatt and Pahlaj Nilhani. It is being muted that in her next film Chaahat - Ek Nasha, she has the longest steamy love scenes with Aryan Vaid.
